Counseling and Guidance (Educational Diagnostics) - Master of Arts

The CEP Department offers a degree in Counseling and Guidance (M.A.) specializing in Educational Diagnostics; however, this is not a stand-alone program. The only candidates admitted to this degree are those graduate students who are admitted to the Specialist in Education (Ed.S.) or Ph.D. School Psychology Programs. Graduate students admitted to a school psychology program will have an opportunity to complete this MA degree before the completion of the Ed.S. or Ph.D. degree. If you are interested in this degree, please review program information for the school psychology programs (https://cep.nmsu.edu/academic-programs/grad-programs.html) and admission's requirements as only students admitted to these programs are considered for this degree, no exceptions.

Candidates admitted to the Specialist in Education (Ed.S.) or Ph.D. School Psychology Programs can complete this MA degree prior to the completion of the Ed.S. or Ph.D. degree. This program is only open to students in the Specialist in Education (Ed.S.) or Ph.D. School Psychology Programs.
