EMT - Basic - Certificate of Achievement

This program makes possible rapid completion and quick entry into the workforce. Those who complete the program will be qualified to work in various settings within the emergency medical services field, including hospitals, ambulance services, and fire departments. The credits earned also may be applied toward completion of the EMT–Intermediate program and the associate degree in emergency medical services.

To graduate with a certificate or an associate degree, students must earn a C or better in all EMSS courses, and achieve a cumulative grade-point average of at least 2.0.

Students must complete all University degree requirements, which include: General Education requirements and elective credits to total at least 13 credits. Developmental coursework will not count towards the degree requirements and/or elective credits, but may be needed in order to take the necessary English and Mathematics coursework.
