Electrocardiogram Technician - Certificate of Achievement
NMSU Alamogordo 2026-2027 Catalog
The Electrocardiogram Technician Certificate of Achievement prepares students for employment as an Electrocardiogram Technician and includes basic theory of the cardiovascular system, cardiac rhythm interpretation, 12 lead ECG lead placement, and ECG equipment trouble shooting.
Upon successful completion of the certificate, the student has met the requirements for eligibility to test through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) to become a certified ECG Technician (CET).
A grade of C or better is required in all courses.
