Medical Billing and Coding - Certificate of Completion

Medical Billing and Coding  is a fast-growing, in-demand allied health field that can allow you to enter the medical field without providing direct patient care. Medical billers and coders (also referred to as health information specialists, medical billing and coding specialists, or medical information specialists) work to ensure the quality and accuracy of medical records and billing accounts. Medical biller and coder duties may also include providing administrative support within their work environment.  The course work in this certificate applies to elective credit in the Associate of Applied Studies.
