Child Development - Certificate of Completion

The Child Development Certificate of Completion at NMSU Grants is aligned to support the New Mexico Child Development Certificate (CDC) offered by the New Mexico Office of Child Development.  This certificate provides entry-level requirements for educators who are already working in a classroom setting with infants and toddlers or preschool children.   The professional certification additionally requires a state awarded certificate issued by the New Mexico Office of Child Development upon completion of course requirements. For more information, contact the Office of Child Development at (505) 827-7946 or 1-800-832-1321. The Child Development Certificate exceeds the requirements of the New Mexico State CDA, and includes four of the courses required for a Certificate of Early Childhood Education and an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education.
