Health Careers - Certificate of Completion

The Certificate in Health Careers program is designed to equip individuals with the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to embark on a successful career in various healthcare settings. This certificate program offers a structured curriculum covering key topics such as medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, personal health & wellness, patient care techniques, CPR, and professional communication. Students will engage in hands-on training and practical experiences to develop proficiency in patient interaction and teamwork within the healthcare field. With a focus on preparing students for entry-level positions in healthcare, this certificate program provides a solid foundation for further education and career advancement in the dynamic and rewarding field of healthcare.  

The course work in this certificate applies to elective credit in the Associate of Applied Studies.

The Health Careers 30 credit hour certificate is designed to prepare an individual for entry level employment in healthcare services as well as help build a strong foundation that supports additional education and training in more specialized healthcare related fields. Students are strongly encouraged to meet with the Program Manager and/or the advisor representing the college to which the student will be transferring, for help planning their studies.
